FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED
Sandy's was founded in 1967 by two brothers, Al and Herb Shulman. The brothers managed Sandy's for 30 years, until 1997 when Al decided to seek retirement. Instead of closing down the popular spot, they sold the business to Dave Guindon, a regular visitor, and his then business partner, Bill Clark. In 2002 Mr Clark's share was bought out by Dave's wife, Jayne, and the two of them have been running the business together ever since, with the help of their friendly and talented bar and kitchen staff.
We pride ourselves in being a venue for local musicians and performers, offering performance spots on select Saturday nights throughout the year. Some of our regular guests have included the well known area duo Dueling Pianos, classic rock band Timepeace and local acoustic group CP Duo. Additionally we strive to play our part in the community. We are involved with great organizations such as the Lower Buck's YMCA, Middletown Athletics Association, and American Cancer Society, and we take part in many local sports and educational fundraisers.
OUR HISTORY
Sandy's first opened on Old Lincoln Highway in Langhorne, in 1967, occupying a space directly below the district justice office. This ensured that everyone patronizing the bar always remained on their best behavior! Our hand carved roast beef sandwiches were a popular staple from the start, and were initially complemented by shrimp scampi and steak dinners. In 1977 we relocated to the Country Club Shopping Center where we remained for almost a decade. During this time we expanded our menu, adding ham, and pick n' peel shrimp, while briefly experimenting with rotisserie chicken. Our last move took place in 1986, when we relocated to the space we currently occupy at the Woodbourne Square Shopping Center just off of 213. We now serve pub style bar favorites, along with our signature Roast Beef Sandywich, and after all these years, continue to be a great place for family and friends to meet, relax, enjoy great food, and catch the game.
OUR HOURS
Kitchen closes at 11pm on weekdays and Sundays, and midnight on Friday and Saturday.
